Mission

The Unionville Village Improvement Association (UVIA) was founded in 2000 by a small group of residents from the Unionville section of Farmington who wanted to foster and encourage the beautification and historic renovation of their village.

By uniting a coalition of residents, businesses, non-profit organizations and local government agencies, UVIA works to preserve Unionville's architectural, natural and historic resources, promote economic growth, and nurture and support a master plan for Unionville Center.

UVIA is non-profit 501(c)3 run by a board of directors that works to promote these goals:
  • Advocate the needs and suggestions of Unionville residents and businesses
  • Encourage community spirit and neighborhood pride
  • Promote an economically vibrant center
  • Preserve Unionville's architectural, natural and historic resources
  • Advocate for improved pedestrian and bike pathways
  • Collaborate on Unionville related traffic issues
