Dear Community,
On behalf of the Unionville Village Improvement Association, Unionville Museum, and Unionville Business COOP, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the many people, sponsors, businesses, organizations, and civic groups who made the second annual Jingle Bell Jubilee a great success.
Over 500 residents joined us for a fun filled afternoon and evening of lights, festivities and fun as a way to kick off the holiday season in Unionville Center. We had a wonderful time putting it on and have some great ideas for next year. Thanks to the Jingle Committee including members of the UVIA and Unionville Museum for all of their hard work and organizing. It was also an honor to celebrate the contributions of Frank Corbiel, former president of the Unionville Museum who established the founder of the carol sing over 20 years ago. We are pleased to continue this important town tradition.
We are especially grateful to this year’s event underwriting sponsors including ABS Employee Benefits, Edwards Motor Service, Farmington Bank, Unionville Autobody, and Union Eye Works. Also thanks to those who contributed in-kind services, support and volunteer time to our celebration including Boy Scout Troop 170, Dr. Jeffrey Tepper, the town of Farmington’s town council, parks, recreation, economic development, and police departments, First Church of Christ Congregational, George’s Pizza & Restaurant, Girl Scouts, McDonald’s Unionville, Memorial United Methodist Church, Richard Labadia, Saint Mary’s Church, Special Olympics, Stop & Shop Unionville, Tunxis Hose Fire Department, Union School PTO, Unionville Lions Club, and Winterberry Gardens.
In addition, we truly appreciate all the support the attendees have given our organizations throughout the year, and for making Unionville a great place to live and work. Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2013, and we look forward to seeing you next year!
